Certificate for ethical company management
The certification was intended for companies that do not see a contradiction in combining economical and socially responsible trading. TÜV NORD CERT is the first company in Germany to provide such an economically ethical certification in cooperation with the ethics association of the German economy e.V.
Economic ethics provides protection
This is only one example of ethical misconduct in economics, which can have serious economic consequences. No business, small or large, is protected if they have not defined clear rules for fair and, above all, legal conduct in day-to-day business or if these rules are not implemented and practiced in the company. Certification of the ethics management system by an independent institution forces the companies to implement and practice the established principles and company values.
The basis for the certification is the introduction of an ethics management system (EMS). In this system, a company defines guidelines and values that are crucial for dealing with all of the company-relevant target groups. Illegal energy and illegal practices give rise to the breeding ground in which smaller "trivial offenses" are already not tolerated and are consistently punished. Certification of ethical economic company management can be helpful in such cases.
Steps toward getting the certificate
The range of test contents is multifaceted and varies from company to company. The criteria defined in the discussion with the responsible ethics representative are decisive. A thorough check is always made however to see whether the needs and expectations of the company's customer are determined and defined. The personnel and financial requirements for the introduction, maintenance and improvement of an ethics management system are also checked. Other important components of the certification test are communication, training, success measurement and strategic further development. During the assessment, we seek out discussions with all of the relevant, interested parties such as management, employees, shop stewards committees, supervisory committees, customers and suppliers in order to clarify open issues and to be able to make a well-founded decision for awarding the certificate.
On the day the assessment is concluded, you will receive from us a summary of all of the results. Then the certificate is released in detailed form with the involvement of the ethics association of the German economy. The certificate is awarded by us in a venue selected by your company.
