Certification of network integrity
Everything flowing smoothly
To ensure that electricity can subsequently flow without interruption, wind turbine operators require a permit issued by the local energy supplier to feed in the generated electricity. To accomplish this, the grid connection conditions (grid codes) of the grid operator must comply with the corresponding power generation plants, the WEAs.
The required criteria include, e.g. the low-voltage-fault-ride-through-conditions (LVFRT), the provision of reactive power, and much more. In Germany, they are defined by the transmission code. At the international level, certification is carried out by measurements according to IEC 61400-21.
Today, new measurement and certification regulations are being prepared in Germany as a result of the EEG 2009. This is currently expressed in the technical guidelines of the FGW. TÜV NORD supports planers, investors, and system manufacturers with this subject. Within this context, you always remain up to date with this complex topic.
