Emissions trading

CO2 emissions trading

TÜV NORD has expanded its range of services at the start of the emission trading to include this activity and now has well-founded expertise and a wide range of experience in this field.

Thus, we can effectively support companies involved in emissions trading with tailored services, e.g. in the first phase, by answering the following questions:

  • How high are the CO2 emissions of a plant?
  • Must certificates be purchased additionally or can certificates be sold?
  • What sensible potential areas for reducing CO2 exist for a plant?
  • Is a plant modernization (e.g. promotion as per the heat and power generation law) considered for other reasons?
  • Can a highly modernized plant participate in emissions trading, even if it is not obligated to do so?

In the next step:

  • we will test monitoring concepts
  • we will check all of the determining and monitoring parameters that are referenced
  • we will deliver the scheduled proof of the actual load of a plant by the applicable deadline
  • we will provide on-site process and data analysis
  • our experts will check and confirm the data in the emissions report.

Using a worldwide network of experts, we examine and assess JI and CDM projects.
You will find information on the subject of JI/CDM projects at http://www.global-warming.de/ and in our product datasheet of JI/CDM projects.
