ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES
TÜV NORD - Simply more efficient
More efficient use of energy within industrial processes not only means lower energy costs - it can also lead to competitive advantage through careful use of resources and therefore to the long-term success of the enterprise as a whole. The know-how of the TÜV NORD Group is already in demand all over the world in this sector. Our objective is to identify significant savings potentials which can be implemented realistically despite the investments needed. For the most important aim of any advice given on the subject of energy is long-term reduction in energy consumption and therefore lower operating costs, greater cost-efficiency and conservation of the value of plant and equipment.
We are also able to draw up an overall energy balance. This may make it easier to renew individual components within production plant with components which are optimised from the energy point of view. This means that in future energy costs as a whole can be optimised in spite of rising energy supply prices. Following on from the advice which is offered, it is also possible to achieve subsequent certification of energy management systems.
TÜV NORD Modules
Module 1: Initial advisory session / Project initiation |
| Analysis of the ACTUAL status of plant, processes and buildings from the energy point of view. This involves a tour of the factory and existing plant and completion of the analysis through data collected by the TÜV. Identification of existing suboptimal features, transparent description of these in an energy report Creation of a basis for decisionmaking regarding the further procedure and identification of any available funding possibilities. |
Module 2: Detailed advice / Development of measures |
| In-depth energy efficiency analysis, taking internal and external interaction between production, product, buildings/TGA and energy supply into consideration Assessment of energy efficiency by means of simulation Integrated energy concept with possible variants, e.g. hot and cold processes, parameter adaptation and regulation concepts Economic feasibility study Recommendations for concrete actions to implement the variants |
Module 3: Regular advice / Implementation |
| Preparation, coordination, advice and monitoring of the project according to Phases 1 – 3 up to a certifiable energy management system according to DIN EN 16001 |
