PLANT SECURITY AND PHYSICAL PROTECTION
Preventing internal and external offences
The measures ensuring the necessary security and physical protection of commercial and industrial properties as well as manufacturing shops with a high risk of burglary and the related effort and cost need to stay in balance. Establishing adequate and harmonised security and protective measures under due consideration of the actual risk potential should gain highest priority. A comprehensive approach of well-tuned mechanical and electrical security measures in combination with appropriate administrative measures would also be favourable from the economical perspective.
Proposing customised solutions
The TÜV NORD Nuclear experts provide support in designing and realising the specific plant security measures. They are offering customised comprehensive services extending to all aspects of the plant security and physical protection area.
Elaboration of risk analyses and security concepts
Elaborating risk analyses for determining the actual risk potential is one of the preparatory actions TÜV NORD Nuclear experts are performing routinely. The in this step determined risk potential would then be used as framework to design a comprehensive security and physical protection concept including the detailed electrical and mechanical protective measures. The integral TÜV NORD Nuclear approach would ensure that the protective measures are well-balanced and that the weaknesses as identified in the risk analysis will be removed. The feedback from TÜV NORD Nuclear would also include proposals for alternative solutions under consideration of their commercial impact.
