We apply the correct pressure
When commissioning steam boiler facilities and other pressure equipment across the EU, manufacturers must prepare documentation confirming that the products meet the requirement of the pressure equipment Directive.
TÜV NORD is a notified body for the mandatory conformity assessment procedure and has comprehensive expertise, in particular, for the conformity assessment of power plant assemblies, which, in turn, provides our customers with a high level of planning and investment security.
The conformity assessment for complex water pipe boilers is typically carried out during an individual EC test (module G). Here, our notified body examines the design and construction of all pressure equipment and conducts acceptance inspections worldwide during manufacturing and installation to certify their compliance with the corresponding directive requirements.
After assembly, the safe interplay of the individual components must also be assessed as an assembly ready for use.
Alternatively, our notified body also offers an assessment of the quality assurance system of the pressure equipment manufacturer (e.g. according to module H).
Machinery directive and low-voltage directive
In parallel to the pressure equipment directive, we also inspect and evaluate the conformity of system components according to the requirements of the machinery directive and the low-voltage directive.
