Carsharing
Driving abroad!
If you seldom travel by car, you don't need to own one. This gap in the market is filled by around 100 car sharing organizations in 250 cities. In these organizations, around 15 to 20 drivers share a car. The costs for fuel and incidentals are only a fraction of what you would have to pay if you owned a car.
Sharing brings people together
The best way to bring people together are the savings from car sharing. The car sharing organization bills you for a one-time deposit, the acceptance fee and a monthly fixed sum. Other than this, you only pay when you actually use the car.
The vehicles are distributed throughout the city at permanently leased parking spaces. Generally, you will drop the car off at the same spot when you have finished driving. You do not have to service the car, there is less stress on the environment and you don't have to worry about insurance, repairs or inspections. And you always have a place to park.
Car sharing is appealing if you drive less than 7,000 km per year. If you are interested, you can obtain more detailed information from the home page of the umbrella organization of the German car sharing organizations: http://www.carsharing.de/
